When he reached near Tabuk, he said: Tomorrow, insha'Allah, you will reach the spring of Tabuk, but you will not reach before Chasht. So do not touch the water of the person who has reached there, until I come. Hazrat Moaz states that when we arrived, two men had already arrived. A little water was coming from the spring. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked, "Have you both touched its water?" He said: Yes! He told them both what Allah willed. Then he drew a little water from the spring through the stove. Even a little accumulated. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) washed his face and hands in it and poured it into a spring. Then came the water from the spring. The Companions were satisfied and drank water. Then the Messenger of Allah said: O Mu'adh! If your life is long, you will see this place full of gardens.

On the way or after reaching Tabuk ... there is a difference in the traditions ... The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Tonight a strong wind will blow over you, so no one should get up and whoever has a camel should tie its rope tightly. Ibn Hisham narrates that the Companions, in obedience to this command of the Holy Prophet, except two men from Banu Sa'ida, one of whom went out to make amends and the other went out in search of his camel. He got diphtheria on the way and the one who went out in search of the camel was picked up by the wind and thrown on the mountains. When the Holy Prophet (sws) was informed about this, he said: "Did I not prevent you from leaving without a man?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed for the person who was suffering from diphtheria and he was healed. It was lying in the mountains. It was presented to him by a man of Taq after the visit of the Holy Prophet to Madinah. (Ibn Hisham) (Muslim on the authority of Mu'adh ibn Jabal 1/2)

On the way to Hajar, his camel got lost on the way, the hypocrites got the word, they said to each other, what do you claim that Muhammad gives us news from the sky, we know the heavenly conditions, wonder He did not even know where his camel was at that time. Hearing this, the Holy Prophet said, "By God, I do not know anything except what my Lord has taught me, and now I say by divine inspiration: The camel is in such and such a place, its reins are stuck from a tree from which it is restrained. Saying this, he sent a companion and called for the camel. It is said that after this incident, he repented and Bakhshi bin Jahir repented and prayed that he would be martyred for the expiation of this sin in a place where my name and mark could not be found. The Almighty accepted this prayer. And he was martyred in the battle of Yamama. (Sirat al-Nabi - Ibn Khaldun)

On the way, a man started to stay behind and the people said, "O Messenger!" A man is left behind. He said, "Leave him alone. If there is any good in him, then Allah will soon unite him with you, and if he is against him, then Allah will save you from him." O Messenger of Allah! Abu Dharr has retreated and he has slowed down his camel. He said: Let him go, if there is any good in it, then Almighty Allah will meet him with you soon, otherwise he will save you. Now Abu Dharr stopped sitting on the camel for a while, the camel started delaying, so he took his luggage and backed away. They started walking in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). When he stood on a floor, someone said, "O Messenger!" That person is walking on this path alone, he said! Don't be Abu Dharr? When the people saw him, they said: O Messenger! He is Abu Dharr. Hearing this, the Holy Prophet said: * May Allah have mercy on Abu Dharr, Abu Dharr will walk alone, will die alone and will be raised alone on the Day of Judgment.

Hazrat Abd ibn Masood narrates that during the caliphate of Hazrat Uthman, Hazrat Abu Dharr was residing at Rabda and his death took place there. At that time, he had no one but his wife and slave. And he bequeathed to the slave that you should bathe me and shroud me and keep me on the right path, then say to the first group that passed by you that they are Abu Dharr, the companions of the Holy Prophet, you help us in his burial. So after his death he was placed on the road. A group of Iraqis passed by and when they saw the funeral procession on the way, they stopped. At that time the slave said that these are the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Help us in the burial of Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood on hearing this statement of the narrator and wept and said that the Holy Prophet had told the truth that you will walk alone, you will die alone and you will be raised alone in the resurrection, then bury Abu Dharr in the caravan. Later, Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood narrated this story to them and also said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said this to them while going to Tabuk. (Ibn Hisham)
